ANZ Netball Grant Promotion Terms and Conditions 2024 season
Promoter and Organiser
- The promoter and organiser of the Promotion is ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, whose registered address is ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street, Auckland 1010, (the “Promoter”).
Eligibility
- An application can be made to the ANZ Netball Grant promotion by any parent, guardian or netball coach currently residing in New Zealand aged 18 years and over as at 1 February 2024 (“the Entrant”).
- Entrants must nominate a netball team of children aged between 5 and 18, as at 1 February 2024 (the “Nominees”).
How to Enter
- By submitting an application the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy Promotion (the "Promotion") commences at 10am on Monday 19 February 2024 with the last time for submitting an application being 9.59am on Monday 8 April 2024 (the "Promotion Period").
- The Entrant must apply to ANZ for an ANZ Netball Grant subsidy to contribute towards a Nominee team’s netball fees, to support the enjoyment and development of netball (“ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy”).
- To make an application, Entrants must complete the online application form available through the ANZ Courtside website (anzcourtside.co.nz). Applications must include a statement of no more than 300 words setting out how an ‘ANZ Netball Grant subsidy will help their team’. All details in the application must be accurate and not false, misleading or deceptive.
- False, misleading or inappropriate applications (as determined by the Promoter) and repeated applications by the same Entrant for the same Nominee will be disqualified and may also affect the validity of other applications submitted by the Entrant or by other Entrants in support of the same Nominee. In addition, the following applications shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
- All applications become the property of the Promoter.
ANZ Netball Grant Fund
- The Promoter has a total fund of $100,000 to subsidise netball club fees for the 2024 season.
- Successful Entrants will receive an ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy of up to $40 per primary/intermediate school aged player per successful Nominee team and up to $80 per secondary school aged player per successful Nominee team in the form of a cash payment to the team, to be used only for the team’s netball registration fees.
Application Review
- A panel of judges appointed by the Promoter, in its sole discretion, will review all applications that are eligible for consideration, throughout the Promotion Period. The judges, at their sole discretion, will assess each application and determine any successful applications.
- The Promoter reserves the right to change the Promotion Terms and Conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Courtside website.
- Entrant’s that have been awarded an ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy will be contacted within five working days of the Promoter receiving their application via the contact details provided in the application form. In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact a successful Entrant after three attempts, that Entrant will forfeit the ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy and the judges will select another successful application in their place.
- The Promoter's decision and the decision of the judges is final on all matters relating the Promotion including applications, the nature, number and value of any contributions awarded, the successful winners and the delivery of contributions. No correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that an Entrant’s successful application is found to have contained incorrect or misleading information in any way the Promoter reserves the right to revoke the ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy, in its absolute discretion.
- The Entrant agrees to use the ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy for the sole purpose of paying the Nominees’ team netball registration fees.
Successful Entrant’s Obligations
- Successful Entrants may also be asked to participate in PR, including but not limited to print, TV or social media promotion. The Entrant may be contacted by a third party agency acting on the Promoters behalf to schedule an interview or photography, as the Promoter in its discretion determines reasonable.
- By claiming an ANZ Netball Grant Subsidy, Entrants agree to the Promoter making use of their name(s) and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by the Promoter. Agreement to this shall entitle the Promoter to unrestricted use of any images and video footage taken as part of the Promotion and rights to distribute, exhibit, license and use the material in any manner whatsoever.
Privacy
- Except as otherwise provided in these Terms and Conditions, personal information received from Entrants will be held securely by the Promoter and used only in relation to the administration of the Promotion.
- Entrants have the right to access and may change or update personal details by visiting the ANZ Courtside website (www.anzcourtside.co.nz) and entering the “Contact Us” section or emailing ANZ Courtside at info@anzcourtside.co.nz
Liability
- The Promoter and its related bodies corporate shall not be liable for any loss damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly out of or in connection with the Promotion, the taking of any contribution, or any act or omission of the Promoter or their associated agencies, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for, and Entrants release the Promoter from, any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property if, for any reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control (e.g. due to computer viruses, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures etc), this Promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the Promotion's administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected. Further, in such circumstances, the Promoter may modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate any applications of any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the Promotion or abusing the communication system upon which the Promotion is being conducted.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem or any kind or internet malfunction. Entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt into the ANZ Courtside website database, not the time of transmission by the Entrant.
- These Terms and Conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
ANZ ‘Local Legends’ Terms & Conditions 2021
Eligibility and How to Enter
- The ANZ “Local Legends” (the “Promotion”) commences at 9.00am on 12 April 2021 with the last day for submitting nominations being Monday 03 May 2021 (the “Promotion Period”).
- Participation in the Promotion is open to all New Zealand residents aged 16 and over on 01 January 2021 (a “Participant”). Any Participant aged under 16 on 01 January 2021 must obtain the consent of their parent or guardian to participate. Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promotion provides an opportunity for players, club members, school staff members, students or netball fans to nominate their Local Legend to ANZ for a grant up to a value of $15,000 that will enable the Local Legend to continue to support their netball communities, and the Local Legend will win a prize of $1,000 for themselves.
- To make a nomination, Participants must complete the online nomination form available through the ANZ Courtside website (anzcourtside.co.nz). Nominations must include a statement of less than 500 words setting out the reason for and merits of the nomination.
- False, repeated, misleading or inappropriate nominations will be disqualified and may also affect the validity of other nominations lodged by or on behalf of related individuals, teams, groups or clubs. In addition, the following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of ANZ once submitted.
The Nomination and Judging Process
- A panel of judges appointed by ANZ will review all nominations that are eligible for consideration under these Terms and Conditions, once the Promotion Period has closed. The judges will assess the merits of each nomination in their discretion and will ultimately determine one winner for each ANZ Premiership region (a total of six winners).
- Participants who have submitted a successful nomination will be contacted and requested to ask the nominee to contact ANZ directly if they wish to accept the grant and prize. In the event that ANZ is unable to contact a successful Participant after three attempts, or the nominee fails to contact ANZ within 14 daysor declines the grant and prize, that Participant and nominee will forfeit the grant and prize and the judges will select another Participant and nominee in their place.
- Once a nominee has confirmed to ANZ that they wish to accept the grant and prize, the winners’ names and clubs will be published on anzcourtside.co.nz.
- Any grants and prizes awarded will be at the discretion of the panel of judges and ANZ.
- ANZ reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the Participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Courtside website.
- The names of the winning Local Legends will be published on the ANZ Courtside website and may remain published until such time as ANZ elects to remove them.
- ANZ’s decision and the decision of the judges is final on all matters relating the Promotion including applications, whether and the extent to which any grants or prizes are awarded, the successful nominations and how and when grants or prizes are delivered. No correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that a successful nomination is later altered or, in the opinion of ANZ, unnecessary or incorrect in any way, ANZ reserves the right to reassess that grant or prize, seek further assurances or amend the grant or prize in its absolute discretion.
- Grants are not transferrable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash except as determined by ANZ.
Privacy
- The successful Local Legend (and/or representatives from the Participant) may also be required to attend a presentation ceremony and agree to any print, TV or social media or promotion personnel covering the Promotion to photograph, interview and report on the Promotion accordingly, as ANZ in its discretion determines reasonable. By claiming a grant or prize, Participants and nominated Local Legends agree to ANZ making use of their name(s) and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by ANZ. Agreement to this shall entitle ANZ to unrestricted use of the images and video footage and rights to distribute, exhibit, license and use the material in any manner whatsoever.
- Other than as set out above in relation to publishing names of the successful Local Legend, personal information received from Participants will be held securely by ANZ and will be used for the purposes of administering the Promotion (which may include disclosure to agents of ANZ for the purpose of administering the Promotion).
- Participants have the right to access and may change or update personal details, such as change of email address or change of application details by visiting the “Contact Us” section of the ANZ Courtside website (www.anzcourtside.co.nz ) or emailing ANZ Courtside on info@anzcourtside.co.nz

ANZ FUTURE CAPTAINS TERMS & CONDITIONS 2024
Promoter and Organiser
- ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited is the promoter and organiser (“Promoter”) of the ANZ Future Captains Promotion (“Promotion”). The Promoter’s registered address is ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street, Auckland 1010.
- The Promoter reserves the right to change these Promotion terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time.
Eligibility
- Any New Zealand resident who is over 18 years old and who is a parent, guardian, relative or close family friend (the “Entrant”) may nominate a child aged between 8 and 12 years old to have a chance at winning an ANZ Future Captains Prize Experience (the “Nominee”).
How to Enter
- Entrants must complete an online entry form on the ANZ Courtside website. By submitting the entry form, the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- Entrants may enter multiple times provided that each submitted entry contains a different Nominee. Duplicated entries will result in disqualification of all the Entrant’s nominations.
- The Promotion starts at 10.00 am on 11 March 2024 and closes at 10.00 am on 15 July 2024.
- Entrants who are a close family friend of the Nominee must also confirm that they have authority from the Nominee’s parent or legal guardian to nominate the Nominee, and confirm that they, or another adult, will accompany the Nominee on the Prize Experience.
- The following entries will be invalid:

The Prize
- The ANZ Future Captains Promotion consists of up to 48 individual prize experiences (each a “Prize Experience”). Each Prize Experience will include:

- Four tickets to the allocated ANZ Premiership netball game to be used by the Nominee, the Nominee’s friend and two accompanying adults,
- The chance to meet the team captains before the game starts,
- The opportunity to welcome the team players on court before the game starts, and
- two ANZ Future Captain singlets for the Nominee and the Nominee’s friend to wear at the game
- Prize winners will need to make their own way to the game. No travel or accommodation will be provided as part of the Prize Experience.
The Prize Draw
- Prize winners will be drawn at random throughout the 2024 ANZ Premiership season (“Prize Draw”). Each prize winner will win a Prize Experience for an ANZ Premiership netball game in their selected region.
- Prize draws will take place at least 1 week before the selected ANZ Premiership netball game.
- Entrants will only be entered into Prize Draws for the region selected in their entry form. Each region relates to the venue and location of an ANZ Premiership netball game.
- Entrants can only win one Prize Experience per Nominee in this Promotion.
- Prize winners will be contacted within 24 hours following the prize draw using the contact details provided on their entry form. If a prize winner cannot be contacted within this 24-hour period, the Promoter may forfeit the prize winner’s Prize Experience and may draw another prize winner from all remaining non-prize winning entries received for that Prize Experience.
Prize winners’ obligations
- The prize is not transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any other kind of value. However, if within the 48 hour period prior to the game, the Nominee cannot personally attend the Prize Experience for unexpected reasons, they may nominate a replacement Nominee for the Prize Experience (subject to the Promoter’s approval). The Entrant/Nominee must immediately notify the Promoter of the replacement and must provide name and contact details for the replacement Nominee and accompanying friend and adults.
- If the replacement Nominee and accompanying adult contact details are not provided, or the Promoter does not accept the replacement Nominee, then the Prize Experience will be forfeited and another prize winner will be drawn from all remaining non-prize winning entries received for that Prize Experience.
- All ANZ Premiership tickets are issued subject to Ticket Terms and Conditions of the relevant ticket supplier ("Ticket Conditions") which apply to the possession and use of tickets. Each prize winner must comply with the Ticket Conditions.
- The Promoter will send each prize winner an itinerary once they have confirmed their participation in the Prize Experience, setting out meeting times, venue details and a game-day contact person for their allocated match. If prize winners do not agree to the Promoter’s itinerary and other instructions, the Promoter may forfeit the prize winner’s Prize Experience and may draw another prize winner from all remaining non-prize winning entries received for that Prize Experience.
- By claiming a prize, each prize winner consents to ANZ using their name(s) and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes, including advertising, online (including the ANZ Courtside website) and social media use, as determined by ANZ in its sole discretion.
Promoter Obligations
- The Promoter may substitute an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice in the event the Prize Experience or part of the Prize Experience becomes unavailable.
- The decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Privacy

The Local Legends Judging Criteria & FAQs
The ANZ Local Legends will be selected by a panel of judges who consider the following.
- Information provided: Your nomination must clearly outline what difference your Local Legend has made to you, your team, school, club or community and explain why they are a worthy recipient. Providing as much detail as possible will help the judges assess the merit of your nomination.
We also encourage you to describe what grant would be most useful or appreciated by your Local Legend, this could be something to help them continue to support your netball community. - Impact: The judges are looking for nominations where the grant that is awarded to the Local Legend will have a lasting impact or legacy within a community, school or team or to an individual or player. Making the effort to tell their story and explain why you need ANZ’s help, demonstrates your enthusiasm and commitment to making it happen.
